Review: ReVamped by Ada Adams

Dawn is excited to have her first assignment away from teaching mini vamps how to fight.  Gather the 4 vamps in Angel Creek.  Train them to be the protectors of the town.
Will she be able to train the misfits how to fight in combat if needed or will all fall to pieces? Then the age old question which man? Ethan the bartender or Sebastion the mysterious vampire that live near the training cabin?

How Distracted Did I Get?
Dawn is a very tough but yet vulnerable.  She is out to show her father she can do the mission he gave her.  Even through the difficulties she found once she got to Angel Creek she didn’t give up.
Sebastion the mysterious vampire is supportive but distant.  He leaves you wanting so much more from him!

First thoughts after
I want more Sebastion!  More more more  I wonder who Ms. Adams ideal actor to play Sebastion would be?

OK friends! Here are my books I've chosen for the poll! Let's go with the poll ends on hmmm..... let's see let's go with Hubby's birthday the 28th of June so get those votes in I can't wait to see which book or books win out!
Goodreads Synopsis for Each
Until Next Time (The Angel Chronicles, #1)
How does a girl choose between the one who steals her heart and the one who owns her soul?
Matt and Emily were created for a specific job. Raised and trained as the ultimate angel/warrior team, they are sent down to save, defend, judge and forgive, depending on the 'life' they've been assigned. What they don't realize is that the power of human emotions, such as love, anger, passion and fear can take over even the best of souls, causing them to make mistakes and follow paths that lead to confusion and heartache.
When the reason for their training is finally revealed, the angel/warrior team find themselves thrust into a world they know nothing about. Matt takes over the life of Daniel, a young man with a great deal of baggage. Emily becomes Liz, a girl living in a remote village who relies on nothing more than her own strength to survive. A violent storm erupts one night, and framed in the window of Liz's establishment is a frightening face. Let in by the soul of a Good Samaritan, the two visitors bring with them a past full of secrets that could literally change an angel's path and a warrior's plans.

A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1)A richly inventive novel about a centuries-old vampire, a spellbound witch, and the mysterious manuscript that draws them together.

Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up a bewitched alchemical manuscript in the course of her research. Descended from an old and distinguished line of witches, Diana wants nothing to do with sorcery; so after a furtive glance and a few notes, she banishes the book to the stacks. But her discovery sets a fantastical underworld stirring, and a horde of daemons, witches, and vampires soon descends upon the library. Diana has stumbled upon a coveted treasure lost for centuries-and she is the only creature who can break its spell.

Sins of the Angels (Grigori Legacy, #1)When homicide detective Alexandra Jarvis is assigned a new partner in Aramael, a Guardian Angel who doubles as a hit man, they have only one thing in common: a fallen angel hell-bent on triggering the apocalypse. Now they have no choice but to work together-relentlessly, fearlessly, intimately. Because only they can stop the rogue angel from ushering in the end of days.

Awakened (The Guardian Legacy, prequel)Most teens turn sixteen and get the license to drive, but Lil Falcon gets the license to kill demons. Orphaned as a child and raised by an eccentric grandfather, Lil is concerned with surviving high school and is unaware that she's a Guardian-a being with super powers charged with killing demons and protecting humanity. When she meets Bran, a mysterious boy with amazing abilities, his psi energy unlocks her latent powers. But Bran has a secret that can ruin their growing relationship, and the truth she discovers may destroy everything she believes in unless she finds the right balance between love and sacrifice.

The Messenger's HandbookWhat if you discovered that your soul mate lived three centuries before you were even born?
It’s been years since Madeline and her mama were victims of a car crash. Madeline survived but suffers wicked anxiety. Her mama simply disappeared. At age sixteen she inherits her mama’s handmade book filled with dangerous family secrets, but barely skimmed it before she’s pushed onto train tracks.
Madeline wakes in 1675, the sole survivor of a Native massacre on a colonial settlement. She has inadvertently time traveled to the War between the Wampanoag Natives and the colonists they recently welcomed to America’s shores. Rescued and taken back to a colonial garrison, Madeline learns she is a Messenger, a traveler who can slip through time’s fabric at will, bringing messages that could change one life or many. She doesn’t know the first thing about traveling let alone surviving this harsh new world. Rumors of witchcraft and spying could get her killed. But falling into a forbidden love with Samuel, a mixed blood boy, puts them both at risk.

Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1)Set on the island of Nantucket, STARCROSSED tells the tale of Helen Hamilton, a young woman whose destiny is forever altered when she meets Lucas Delos and tries to kill him in front of her entire high school. Which is terribly inconvenient, not only because Lucas is the most beautiful boy on the island, but also because Helen is so achingly shy she suffers physical pain whenever she is given too much attention.
Making matters worse, Helen is beginning to suspect she’s going crazy. Whenever she’s near Lucas or any member of his family she sees the ghostly apparitions of three women weeping bloody tears, and suffers the burden of an intense and irrational hate. She soon learns that she and Lucas are destined to play the leading roles in a Greek tragedy that the Three Fates insist on repeating over and over again throughout history. Like her namesake, Helen of Troy, she’s destined to start a war by falling in love. But even though Lucas and Helen can see their own star-crossed destiny, they’re still powerfully attracted to each other. Will they give up their personal happiness for the greater good, or risk it all to be together?

Of Poseidon (Of Poseidon, #1)Galen, a Syrena prince, searches land for a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. It’s while Emma is on vacation at the beach that she meets Galen. Although their connection is immediate and powerful, Galen's not fully convinced that Emma's the one he's been  looking for. That is, until a deadly encounter with a shark proves  that Emma and her Gift may be the only thing that can save his kingdom. He needs her help--no matter what the risk

A Charming CrimeJune Heal has nothing to lose when she relocates her homeopathic cure shop, A Dose of Darla, from the flea market booth in her home town, to a quaint shop in the cozy but unusual little town of Whispering Falls, Kentucky. Or so it seems.

Cures and trouble...

Whispering Falls has a lot of secrets. From talking snow globes to whispering animals not to mention a few sprinkles of fairy dust, June realizes Whispering Falls is more magical than she thought. . .literally.

Review: Dark Kiss (Nightwatchers #1) by Michelle Rowen

Dark Kiss (Nightwatchers, #1) Soul sucking???????? Yeppers!  The crush of Sam's life sucks her soul out with a single LONG kiss.  She has a constant hunger food temporarily solves.
Hottie McTottie Bishop walks in her life to save the day? Or is it to end her soulless self? Is Bishop the enemy or is the mysterious "source" the nemesis?
How Distracted Did I Get?
In the beginning of Dark Kiss with the Prologue I was very confused.  I'm a think ahead kinda girl.  I like to try to figure out what is going to happen.  As I read books I try to put things together as I go.  Dark Kiss had me guessing this way and that.
Samantha is a strong character I found myself rooting for.  She fights for those she loves and tries her hardest to discover who is lying and telling her the truth.
First thoughts after I finished book
Dunh Dunh Duuuuunnnnnhhhh!  Yeah add Music it's in my head!  LMSO
How Many Baskets?
Dark Kiss  is well detailed and put together.  I loved the story. The only time I put my kindle down was to tend to the kids and have dinner therefore I give Dark Kiss
I was able to read this book through Netgalley

Review: The Quintessential Gemini

What is your sign?  Do you live your life by your horoscope?  Katherine does for the most part.  She subscribes to a daily forecast.  Suddenly, her forecasts aren't making the usual sense or flow they have since she was in her teens. She's been following Mark Ainsley-Thomas's forecasts since her late teens.  Finding out James has been subbing is a blow and words are exchanged, apologies are made and they meet and start dating.  But is everything going to remain right in Katherine's world or is an untrue rumor going to turn her world upside down?

How Distracted Did I Get?
You will laugh, cry and everything in between in this amazingly drawn together story.  Katherine is a normal curvy girl who is a Gemini and that means two parts pulling her different ways.  She's a spitfire and I love it!  Sometimes I wonder if I should be a Gemini instead of Virgo! LOL  Anyway with becoming redundant (laid off for us Yanks!LOL) and a "love triangle" that doesn't exist she perseveres through the tough times.

Ms. Halton has written a lovely story which was hard to put down.  The Quintessential Gemini is a definite for your tbr list.

I gave Quintessential Gemini 5 Baskets!

Review: Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Katy's mom moves them from Florida to West Virginia to start over.  Katy isn't happy but she doesn't kick up a fuss.  She can still blog even if there seems to be nothing to do around the area.  She meets Daemon her neighbor, who is the biggest JERK ever.

The unexpected happens and she has to stick by his side for a while. Thanks to a trace he accidentally leaves on her.   LOVE/HATE such a fine line between the two.  Will they be able to get through until his alien trace is off without killing her?
How Distracted Did I Get?
So, seeing all kinds of bloggers I follow on twitter etc....obsessed with Obsidian I had to see what all the fuss was about.  I'm not much for alien stories but I figured I'd give it a go.  Ms. Armentrout has written an extremely creative story that sucked me right in and I had a hard time focusing on company this weekend.

I love Katy, she's intelligent and she doesn't see how beautiful she is.  Of course, there's always the fact that she's a book blogger like me!  LOL  Daemon, the gorgeous alien next door,  you want to love, hate and beat the poopy scoops out of at times.

I can't wait for Onyx to find out what happens next in this amazing story.

I give Obsidian 5 baskets

Review:Spellcrossed by Barbara Ashford

Goodreads Summary
It's not easy losing the magic in your life…
But when Maggie Graham freed Rowan Mackenzie to return to Faerie, she took the first step toward her new life as director of the Crossroads Theatre.
A hectic new season of summer stock leaves her little time to moon over the past. She has to balance the demands of her interfering board president and a company of actors that includes bewildered amateurs, disdainful professionals, a horde of children, and an arthritic dog. And while Maggie yearns to give others the kind of healing she found at the Crossroads, even she recognizes that magic must take a back seat to ticket sales.
But magic is hard to banish from the old white barn. Memories lurk like ghosts in the shadowy wings and the unexpected is as time-honored a tradition as the curtain call. And when the tangled spells of Maggie' past turn her life upside down, it will take more than faery magic to ensure the happy-ever-after ending she longs for.…

How Distracted Did I Get?
To be completely honest I was unable to finish the book.  I hate that I was unable to get into the story and it has a great premise but it wasn't me.  I'm sure this book is up someone's alley.   It has gotten amazing reviews on Goodreads.  I'm very sad to have my first 1 basket review.....

Blog Tour Review: Dreaming Dangerously by Kathleen Suzette Harsch

Have you ever felt different? Felt like you'd never fit in anywhere?  Cassandra has felt like an outsider all her life being able to mind drop on people.  It's difficult being a telepathic teenager and Cassandra's dealt with it all her life!
Cassandra's parents move the family so they can start a new restaurant named Duncan's.  First day in town she meets a guy who's cute and cocky that puts thoughts in her head and that has never happened before.  Add that to dreams that are predicting the future her life is thrown for a loop!
Is Will triggering these changes or is there something more sinister lurking?

How Distracted Did I Get?

Wow! Completely left me wanting more!  At first it was a nice little YA romance (which I love those) but then as the book goes on there's more depth and intellect behind the story as you discover what Cassandra can do with her telepathy.  There's a sweet love story with the typical jealous ex trying to ruin things and typical teen angst.

As Ms. Harsch wove the story together it was more and more difficult to put the book down.  I gave Dreaming Dangerously 5 baskets!

Blog Tour Guest Post by Author Kathleen Harsch

Kathleen Harsch is author of Dreaming Dangerously and she has been so kind as to join us today for a guest post as part of her blog tour for Dreaming Dangerously!

Thank you Kathleen for taking the time to stop by! <3

Dreaming Up Dreaming Dangerously
An author guest post by Kathleen Suzette Harsch
A common question that I’m asked is how I came up with the idea for Dreaming Dangerously, my first novel in the Children of the Psi series.
The premise of the book is basically this: Telepathic teen girl meets a handsome jock, who is also telepathic. She doesn’t trust him. After they experiment with their telepathy, she begins having dreams that come true. Her dreams become more and more horrifying, as people she knows die in her dreams. She must learn to trust him or she won’t prevent be able to prevent the tragedy she sees coming.
About three years ago, I had this magnificent dream about two teenagers who were crushing on each other, and they both find out they are telepathic. So, Dreaming Dangerously, came from a dream. About three years ago, sometime in the early morning hours before dawn, I dreamed the following:
Two girls meet in a hallway on the way to the gym of my middle school, as they pass through the double glass doors into the bright sunlight, one of them, a student of mine says, “I’m so glad you’re here!” The two walk arm in arm until a couple of guys begin to flirt with them. My former student goes off to flirt with the one boy, while the other girl laughs and plays around with the second guy. They are having fun together until she leg sweeps him and he crashes to the ground, making everyone around them laugh.
The scene changes and everyone is sitting on the gym floor. The coach is lecturing them about the broken hair clips that he keeps finding on the field of the track. A girl had been sent to the ER for stitches because she fell on a broken hair clip and ripped open her leg. The coach passes a shoe box full of clips around so students could see how sharp they are. Meanwhile, the second couple sits next to each other, and she apologizes to him in her mind.
He hears her and think’s, I’m okay, it just stings a little.
Are you mad at me?  The girl asks.
No, more mad at myself.
Then, the two of them both stare at each other, realizing they’ve just communicated telepathically.
You can hear my thoughts? he asks her.
Yeah, she smiles. You can hear mine, too?
We’re both telepathic! His eyes light up and he is filled with excitement. He grabs her face and kisses her. They talk for a few more minutes.
Then, I woke up and could still remember the dream. I could still feel their thrill at finding each other, and I realized:
So, I just stayed in bed, replaying the dream in my mind over and over again, so I wouldn’t lose it. Finally, when I thought the idea was firmly planted in my conscious mind, I got out of bed and immediately went to my computer. It was about 4:30 in the morning, and I began typing out my dream. I titled it “Telepathic Love Story.” With my first few drafts, I named the book, Unwilling, playing with Will’s name. It wasn’t until later, when I added a bunch of dreams that I changed the name of the book to Dreaming Dangerously.
After I typed up what I could remember from my dream, I began to add ideas for how I could develop this idea into a novel. Then, I spent a few hours coming up with their names. His name became William, which means “savior” and “leader of people.” Hers became Cassandra, which comes from the Illiad in which Cassandra is the prophetess who foretold the fall of Troy to the Athenians. Cassandra also means “savior of the people.” That’s how this dream couple of mine became Will and Cassie.
What I tried to capture in Dreaming Dangerously is that blush and thrill of a first love, and all the doubts and conflicts that go along with it, which I’ve amped up with the complications caused by their psychic gifts.
The dream that I had is almost in its entirety in the chapter entitled, “Mind Drop.” I changed the leg sweep into Cassie tripping and falling. Girls in high school wouldn’t just leg sweep a high school guy, like a middle school girl would. Of course the ideas are more fully developed here with Cassie and Will both dealing with their own conflicts. Here’s an excerpt:
Mind Drop “excerpt”
In the gym Coach Meyers struts back and forth in front of us with his clipboard, like the typical football coach he is. “Park it on the floor, ladies and gents.” He waits for all of us to quiet down before he continues. “I have some things I need to talk to y’all about.”
I slump down onto the floor and hug my knees, glad to be wearing jeans, instead of a skirt. My knees are still stinging from the sidewalk smashing into them. Will settles on the floor facing me. The toes of his shoes touch the toes of my sneakers, and he smiles at me. I can feel a little of the vibration that happens every time he touches me. Heat prickles the back of my neck, and I glance away, staring at the wood grain in the floor.
“Earlier today,” Coach Meyers informs us, “a broken piece of a girl’s hair clip jabbed into Annalisa Sanchez’s kneecap…” He drones on and on about what happened, but I can’t really attention.
I drop my head onto my bent knees. My heart pounds out of control. Will is going to hear it soon. Everybody in the gym will hear it soon.
Will taps his finger on my leg a few times, and then he runs his knuckles, along my shin. I can feel his light touch through the thick denim of my jeans. Silken shivers slide through me. His fingers find mine, and he tugs on them to get my attention. A happy energy zips through me as I feel the soft, vibrating hum coming from him.
When I look up at his wide hazel eyes, he mouths, ‘You okay?’
Those eyes, those dimples, and that uncontrollable hair. I just want to ribbon my fingers through his hair. Just once. Look at him, all dark curls and hazel-eyed and filling out that t-shirt. I feel very odd as if I’ve spun myself around too many times in one direction, like I did when I was a little kid trying to make the world tilt. When I can no longer stand the intense gaze of his eyes, I look away.
I’m so glad I can read his thoughts, but he can’t read mine.
A sharp pinch jerks my attention back to him again. His fingers are clamped to mine. YOU CAN READ MY THOUGHTS?
 My heart stops.
I can’t believe it! Oh, my God! He hears me! His mind hears me!
The pupils of his eyes widen, and his jaw clenches. Unclenches. Face reddens. His humming sound pulses through my ears, crescendoing.
I stare at him, stunned. I always wondered how I’d react if someone ever discovered my telepathy, discovered my secret. Now that person sits inches from me and I’m trembling and I despise myself for disclosing my own secret. How much does he know?
So, you CAN read my thoughts?
He loosens his grip on my fingers. The vibrations soften into a calm purr. His lips curve upward slowly, and my awareness of everyone else in the gym fades away from us.
This changes everything, absolutely everything between Will and me.
Will’s eyes are mesmerizing. His mouth, so perfect. He leans forward, cradling my face in the palms of his hands, and he kisses me. A flood of warmth travels through me, as his lips, soft and urgent, send swirls of shivers through me. Vibrations from his fingertips, his hands, his lips, all harmonize in perfect unison, singing their unique song. The kiss is over before I really want it to be, and I stare into hazel eyes, as he continues to hold my face in his hands.

Because Dreaming Dangerously was my first YA book and only the second book I’d ever written, I took it through more than twenty revisions. I wanted to make sure the book was as good as it could be.
At first, I only intended the audience to be young high school girls, but with the huge appeal of Twilight and Hunger Games, now woman of all ages seem to love YA, and I’ve gotten some wonderful reviews from readers and other bloggers. I’m so happy that I took the plunge and not only wrote the novel, but also indie published it. Other than raising my children and teaching, writing this series has been the most fulfilling experience for me.

Review: Deadly Deception by Alexa Grace

Frankie is a PI who's one of the best she almost always gets the job done.  Her cousin gets mixed up in a baby trafficking operation so she needs to jump in with both  feet even if she has to be partners with Lane Hansen, the jerk.

Lane Hansen is on his first huge assignment since becoming detective.  He wants to nail the guy killing young girls and dumping their bodies in the woods.  There seems to be a link and catching the man who murdered the young girls means  partnering up with Frankie.  Who he regrets loving and leaving.

Will Frankie and Lane be able to leave their history the past, or will they let their emotions interfere with the case?

How Distracted Did I Get?
Deadly Deception is a fast paced thriller romance mystery.  Does that make sense?  There is action, adventure and some HOT HOT scenes.  Ms. Grace has written a great 2nd installment to her Deadly Trilogy.  The romance is very believable with past issues between Lane and Frankie.  Frankie not easily forgiving Lane his past transgressions.  Lane being torn because he knew he made the biggest mistake ever.

Deadly Deception is a perfectly woven tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire book.

I give Deadly Deception  5 Baskets

Interview,Review & Giveaway:Racing To Love Carter's Treasure by Amy Gregory

Welcome Debut Author
Amy Gregory

The Interview

Amy, Thanks so much for doing an interview!  I'm so excited about your debut novel Racing to Love ~ Carter's Treasure
J Thanks for having me, I’m honored!

Lets start with the serious then we can move to the fun.
Eeks! *bites lip*

What inspired you to start writing?
Honestly, this one is crazy.  I liked to write years ago in high school, but nothing since then.  The first book of the series actually came from a recurring dream I had roughly 4 or 5 nights in a row.  I started writing it down and the next thing I knew it was 5 notebooks full of this really cool story.  I typed it up and started researching what the next step in the process was.  In the meantime, I wrote the second book.  When I was signed with my publisher, then I knew it was a dream career that I could make a reality.

Who are the authors that inspired you?
This is easy, and there are so many!  A few of my very favorites are, Mari Carr, Keri Ford, Nora Roberts, Susan Mallery, Sarah Dessen.

Why MotoCross?
We have followed motocross for several years, it’s a very different sport in which you can actually get to know the riders at the races if you’re able to make it in person.  I like that connection.  It actually started when our son was just months old and would sit and watch a race on TV and stay spellbound for a couple of hours.  We started going to pro races in person and he fell in love with it, he is now our very own racer.  At the amateur level, it’s very much a family sport and environment and I love that.

OK onto the fun randomness!

If your passport could have any 3 stamps what would they be?
Oh, that’s EASY!!  Ireland, England and Australia.
Me too! Except add Denmark! LOL (that would make 4 and breaks my question LMBO)

If your books were to become a movie who would star?  I know the answer but I'm sure other inquiring minds want to know!
Um…let’s see.
Carter:  Zach Efron
Molly:  Blake Lively
Jesse:  Chace Crawford
Eli:  Jesse Williams
What office supply can't you resist buying even though you have plenty at home?
These new pens I fell in love with!  B2P by Pilot,, recycled water bottlesJ but they’re the best to write with and I never leave home without one!

What's your Fave?
Cleaning tip?
Invest in a decent vacuum!

Place for Vacay?

Chocolate – of course!

Mr. Pibb

Thing to do in an amusement park?
I hate heights or the feeling of falling, but I love spinny rides!

Coffee or tea? (Gotta ask if you've noticed my addiction to coffee it's a need to know )   ;-D
Um…hello… COFFEE!  Of course!  BUT with lots of cream and sugar!
I understand you know my coffee addiction!!!

Thanks Amy again for doing the interview I thoroughly enjoyed your book and getting to know you more!  Also, can't wait til the sequels! <3
Thank you Tobi for your wonderful review and for taking the time to do the interview with me!  I’m so excited for everyone to get to know these imaginary people I love so dearly!

From the outside, Molly West had everything, beauty, brains, and a career she’d retired from not once, but twice.  Being in the limelight and in a sport that was male driven, she was often surrounded men.  She ignored first the boys, and as she got older, the men.  Unfortunately, they were all the same, all after one thing, and she had absolutely no use for them.  Her cold shoulder and patented not a chance in hell look were usually enough to get her point across.  Occasionally, she had to resort to her sass—and her brother.
Molly had no plans in changing what was a perfectly good system. That is until she walked into the pits.  When she stood toe-to-toe with the sex in jeans, she knew right then and there that the man her adoptive mother always told her was out there, was now standing right in front of her.
Carter Sterling had traveled the racing circuit since he was a boy.  He’d heard all the old standbys, She’s out there somewhere, love comes along when you least expect it.  Good things come to those that… Yeah, he’d heard them all.  The last place he expected to meet the love of his life was on a pro track.  All she did was smile, and he knew, looking into her sapphire blue eyes, Molly West was his.  Forever.
If it was only that easy.  From the moment he laid eyes on her, he had a gripping feeling in him.  An overwhelming need to protect her.  A girl he’d just met.  Carter had learned a long time ago that gut feelings are almost never wrong.
Molly now held his heart in her hands, but it was going to take a lot more than just love to protect her from the past she thought she’d buried a long time ago.

Short blurb - Carter instantly had an overwhelming need to protect her. He learned a long time ago, gut feelings are almost never wrong.

My Summary
Molly is a spunky, funny, shy trick rider doing the pre-race show for the Motocross Season.  She didn't want to go but agreed to do the race circuit.  Little did she know, doing the circuit would mean meeting the man she's been missing in her life.   She doesn't do dating according to her brother and father men are all the same.  With her past she believes most of what they say is true. Her mother tells her to wait for a good man, they exist. As soon as her eyes land on Carter she senses there is something different about him.

Carter is ready to settle down.  He doesn't do the whole groupie scene.  He waits with his friends to meet the famous Motocross, X Games Gold winner and trick rider.  Instantly when he sees Molly he knows she's the one.  Will she notice?

Will this couple make their relationship last through the season without her brother killing Carter, or will something from her past rip them apart?

How Distracted Did I Get?

I absolutely loved Racing to Love ~ Carter's Treasure.  I had a hard time putting the book down, especially when I needed to go to bed.  The love story grabbed me the mystery helped with the follow through to the end.  Molly is a wonderful leading lady and Carter aka "Hollywood"  is to die for.  They have awesome friends and family as a supporting cast that will crack you up.

If a romance with a little mystery is for you make sure to pick this book up and give Racing To Love ~ Carter's Treasure by Amy Gregory a go!  The characters and story are amazing.

Review: Dancing Naked in Dixie by Lauren Clark

Julia is a travel writer for a MAJOR magazine.  She continent hops constantly and  won many awards for her articles.  With the perfect job the perfect boyfriend who could ask for more?

Enter a new boss, David sends her to Eufaula, AL to cover their winter Pilgrimage and if the story isn't written well Julia will be fired!  She said she'd rather "Dance Naked" for her next assignment than go to Alabama!  Off she goes to a tiny town with a crazy history.  Will the Historical Town and the residents touch her heart or will she research her story in a day and head home?

How Distracted Did I Get?
Julia is a strong female lead who is as clutzy as I am and can steal a readers heart from the start.  She has to face her issues and move past so she can be happy and not live her dazed life she's been in for 2 years after her mother's death.

There is of course a handsome southerner in the mix who will make you swoon!  I wonder who Lauren would have play Shug (he and his sister are named after coaches LOL)?

Dancing Naked in Dixie (Naked should be pronounced nekkid by the way. My managers mom lives in Alabama and evidently I don't say it southern enough!  LMBO)  is a well written thoroughly enjoyable story.  There's the "chick lit" with a little mystery mixed in!  If you want a fun read this is for you.  Hence, my less formal review than normal this is just a good down home southern review from a southern chick!  As soon as I saw the name of the book, Dancing Naked in Dixie, I knew I had to read it.

Review: Someone Else's Fairy Tale by E.M. Tippetts

Do you believe in Fairy Tales?  What about happy endings?  Poor Chloe has had a rough life and doesn't believe in fairy tales.  Raised by a single mom with a tragic accident in her past how could happy endings be possible?

She meets HOT Hollywood star Jason who immediately is taken with Chloe.  Of course she doesn't swoon like all the others and stands up to him when he summons her to his trailer.

Torn between Matthew her bff and Jason what's a girl to do?  Not to mention that Chloe dislikes the famous life very much.  Matthew is safe. Hmmmm?

How Distracted Did I Get?
Chloe is a good leading lady she's intelligent, beautiful, and sassy with her sarcasm.  ( I love sarcasm)  The boys are falling at her feet.  Though a little naive she's a wonderful character.  She's been to h-e-double-hockey sticks and back and stronger for it.

The main men see her strength too!  Jason swoon worthy (love to see who Ms. Tippetts would cast for him and Matthew) lovable charmer, who can't seem to charm Chloe.  Is he cool enough to be just friends?

Matthew the bff jealous of Jason and researching his past, will Chloe ever notice he's swoon worthy himself?

Someone Else's Fairy Tale is a definite must read from beginning to end I wanted and still want more!

I gave Someone Else's Fairy Tale 5 baskets I finished it in less than 24 hours!

Review:Settling (Solid 2) by Shelley Workinger

Goodreads Summary
At the beginning of the summer, Clio Kaid was one of a hundred teens brought to a secret Army installation. But it was no ordinary camp and they weren’t ordinary kids…

Picking up where “Solid” left off, Clio and her friends realize that they aren’t ready to go home; they’re determined to stay on campus and continue their journey of self- discovery. But someone doesn’t feel the same way and will do anything to drive them away – even kill.

Friendships will be tested, abilities will evolve, and more secrets will come out as the teens race to stop the killer before he sets his sights on one of them…

My Summary
We're back with Clio and her friends from the first book Solid ( hope you picked it up).  Setting up campus to turn into school for all the C9X students to finish their high school.  Clio is helping Ford (filling in for Clark) set up curriculum, Jack is interning with security, Garret is recruiting coaches, Miranda is Events coordinator, Alexis is working with publicity and Bliss is still discovering what she'll be interning as.

Happy and starting their internships attacks start happening.  Is it Jack who seems not to have an ability? The 2 new kids who decided to join recently?  Will the attacks cause campus to close?

Clio fights to figure out what's happening as she's discovering she has more than one ability.  She's not just a "Stealth" anymore.

How Distracted Did I Get?
Honestly I finished the book in less than 24 hours.  Ms. Workinger has woven a story that is impossible to put down between the teenage angst and mystery it drew me in again!

Clio again is such a believable heroine, she makes mistakes like any other person.  Strong intelligent and dealing with new discoveries around her and new abilities she is a great leading character.

Supporting cast was amazing.  Leaves you guessing who could be attacking people on campus.  Garrett really popped this time with a little more "scene" time in the book he will make you laugh along with Rae a new student.  The other customers in the cell phone store kept looking at me wondering why I was laughing at my Kindle!

Settling is a wonderful follow up to Solid and a definite must read.
